Human Capital
Knowledge about talent development and employership, in order to create a sustainable labor market in balance that contributes to the quality of work, life and experience.
Faced with challenges such as facilitating 'Lifelong Learning', shortage of qualified employees, finding the right balance in the workforce (young, elderly, part-time, full-time, etc.) and the need for new skills (social, digital, sustainability), the parties within the hospitality domain need more data and insights about the labor market and the possibilities available to find, train, 'grow' and retain employees for the domain.
Knowledge priorities
- What are the conditions for the domain to train, find and retain high-quality employees?
- What does facilitating Lifelong Learning mean for employers, employees, educational institutions, and other stakeholders within the domain?
- What are the social and economic impacts of the work provided by the sector?
- How can it be ensured that employees and entrepreneurs have skills that are required now and in the future within the domain, in the field of digital and socio-cultural skills and sustainability?

This theme is part of the Conscious Destinations Agenda. This knowledge agenda serves as a guide for CELTH's knowledge and education partners to develop new relevant knowledge and skills for the hospitality domain. This is urgently needed because the domain faces a major transition challenge.
