Expertise
CELTH conducts research projects together with partners from (international) academia and the field. Those projects focus on the three research themes of CELTH: Agenda Conscious Destinations, Research Agenda Sustainability and Leisure for a better Society. These are urgent issues for the leisure, tourism and hospitality domain for which insufficient fundamental and practically applicable knowledge and instruments have been developed.
To implement these projects, experts from Breda University of Applied Sciences, NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences and HZ University of Applied Sciences work together, where possible with other knowledge partners. In principle, CELTH projects are set up, financed and implemented in consultation with the field. CELTH thus adds value to both the sector and education with its research and knowledge development.
CELTH projects always concern generic issues that help the (sub)sector as a whole and/or companies to innovate. In appropriate cases, companies and organizations are involved as co-commissioner, sounding board or case. CELTH collaborates internationally with parties such as UN Tourism, The Travel Foundation, European Travel Commission, ETOA, City Destinations Alliance and Destination Think.
For research ideas, please contact our theme managers. They will be happy to engage with you.
