The future of leisure in Uncover Magazine

The future of leisure largely depends on the role it manages to claim in the crucial issues facing society. Are we sufficiently capable of claiming the role as a testing ground and connector between the living world and the system world?

To explore these issues and challenges, four Dutch universities of applied sciences in the field of Leisure and Events have joined forces. Breda University of Applied Sciences organised the 'Future of Leisure' conference together with NHL Stenden, Inholland University of Applied Sciences and Willem de Kooning Academy. 300 students, teachers, researchers, experts from profit and non-profit organisations and policymakers came together to shape the future of leisure together. Because without leisure & events, life is bare and empty.

As a follow-up to this conference, the varied magazine Uncover offers a cross-section of contributions from the four Leisure & Events Management faculties and from industry partners. Articles that all touch on the future and the role of leisure & events in our society.

Several CELTH-affiliated researchers and partners have contributed to Uncover. The Future of Leisure is warmly recommended to you.
