Webinar Envisioning a Net Zero Future for Tourism
On November 16, 2022, the CELTH colleges, together with the Travel Foundation and NBTC, are organising the webinar 'Envisioning a Net Zero Future for Tourism and how to plan for it'.
CELTH, like many other organisations in the Netherlands, signed the Glasgow Declaration last year. They have thus committed themselves to develop a plan to halve emissions by 2030 and to generate no more emissions by 2050. For tourism, the question hangs above the market as to how we are going to achieve this.
In this webinar, the researchers share the first findings from the new study 'Envisioning Tourism in 2030' by the European Tourism Futures Institute, Breda University of Applied Sciences, and the Netherlands Bureau for Tourism. In that study, various future scenarios were tested in a model against the goals in the Glasgow Declaration.
